Honduran Home Visits

Honduran Home Visits

Our trip to Central America was packed. It felt like we were always on the road or in someone's home. My first observation in El Salvador was how the church worshipped. They did not have A/C nor flashy lights nor even comfortable seats. But they worshipped with such joy! I think we sang about 8 songs in that first service. I was so encouraged by this church's faith and zeal for worshipping the Lord.

Iglesia la Esperanza

The highlight of this trip for me and definitely how God spoke to me was during a home visit in Honduras. The elders of the church in Honduras took us to visit three homes in a neighborhood they were looking to reach. The last one was a woman named Ritsa and her two small children.

I was mostly just listening at the first two homes, but when Ritsa said she didn't know who Jesus was, I felt a desire to share with her. Through a translator I shared the gospel as well as a part of my testimony. As we shared, we saw that she was very much interested and so we had her read some verses out of the gospel of John. She expressed wanting to know more and be saved which was so exciting to me.

Home visits and testimonies

Please pray for Ritsa and her family! I am excited because I know that the local church pastors will be able to follow up with her and continue to share God's word with her. Thank you for your prayers for this trip. Although there were certainly difficult moments and we also got sick, it was still a great trip overall and I thank God for the people I met and for being able to see His goodness in Central America.
