Camp Encounter 2025 Recap

We finished Camp Encounter on July 18, with our big Talent Show and cookout. Thank you all for praying and giving to support camp. We had 15 children start their walk with the Lord this summer! Our primary goal of camp is to make Christ known, and we are so excited that God drew people to Him through camp.
One of our youngest campers, J, is 6 years old and whose family is Hindu. But J would come to camp almost every day, eager to read her Bible. We gave her two Bibles, which she said were taken away by her parents. When I asked her if she still loves Jesus, she told me she would keep reading her Bible and loving Jesus even if her parents wouldn't. This made me so happy - we have a secret believer! Please pray for J and her family!
We also had hard times. One of my friends, named Anas, passed away on June 20th. He was just 20 years old and was planning to come serve at Camp in July. He was one of the first young guys I met in Clarkston that impacted my life. Anas was Unashamed of the Gospel. The news was devastating for our church and also for many of our campers who knew him. Please pray for his family and that they would come to know Christ.
Overall, the summer was definitely a success and I am really thankful for the awesome team we had serving together. The picture above includes our summer interns and youth leadership team. The cool thing is that many of our summer interns see Clarkston as their second home and have plans to come back! Again, thank you for playing a part in this ministry through prayer and support! "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes." Romans 1:16
